Holland America Eurodam Review

Holland America Eurodam

The Holland America Eurodam debuted in 2008 and like her sister ships is full of the luxurious amenities that you have come to expect from the line. With a capacity for 2,104 people, she has 7 distinct dining options as well as plenty of activities to allow passengers to broaden their horizons both mentally and physically.

Holland America cruise ships offer a wide array of artwork, paintings and sculptures on show, and the Holland America Eurodam is no exception, with her theme being that of the “Dutch Golden Age: An Inexhaustible Tradition” showcasing work of the Dutch Masters throughout her 936’. There are original maps, paintings and other rarities in the open areas onboard as well as her art gallery.

The Eurodam is utilized for Holland America Caribbean cruises giving passengers the chance to soak up the history of various island nations. She also travels on several Northern Europe cruises, for a change of pace. On board, the activities are divided up into distinct categories, where you can find things to enrich you both body and mind, whether you are taking part in a culinary class, a wine tasting or a mixology class or you are participating in the digital classes learning how to make a web album, a scrapbook or take the perfect photograph. There are also mental activities like puzzles and games and fitness classes, or the many shore excursions to keep you active.

Holland America Eurodam has 5-star dining including the Rembrandt 2-deck main dining room, the Lido buffet, the Terrace Grill for casual fare and the new Tamarind which is Asian inspired cuisine at its best. The Pinnacle Grill is likened to a continental steak house where the smaller Canaletto offers amazing Italian fare.

Holland America Cruises offer their patrons large cabins with lovely décor and all the little touches of home. On the Eurodam are spa category cabins that offer a direct to the spa staircase as well as those extra touches like yoga mats, water fountains, an iPod dock and many other extras. These are located on decks 10 and 11 naturally near the spa.

The Holland America Eurodam has plenty of nightlife, including a beautifully appointed Piano Bar, a sports bar, Vegas style revue type shows and a Eurodam Pub Crawl around the various bars and lounges on board so you will never miss out on the fun. For daytime fun, check out the cabanas you can rent by the pool that includes a cabana lunch menu and where waiters will get you your drinks with a smile.
