Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship Review

Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship

The newest addition to the Disney family is the 1,115’ long Disney Fantasy cruise ship, able to transport 4000 passengers to destinations throughout the Caribbean, this ship is as large as her sister Dream and full of that Disney magic that travelers have come to love.

While she shares some amenities with her sister ship Dream, like the Aquaduck, the Aqua Lab water play area comprising 1800 sq. ft. of family splash pad fun is totally new. The Disney Fantasy cruise ship also shares some shows with her sister, but Disney’s Aladdin and Disney Wishes are exclusive to her, both offering live action extravaganzas in total Disney style. Fantasy also has added the Muppets to the fun, with shows and a mystery to unravel to boot.

Sailing on Caribbean itineraries like the 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral that stops in St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay or the 7-night Western Caribbean cruise that also departs Port Canaveral and visits such spots as the Cayman Islands, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Castaway Cay, the Fantasy can take you on an adventure of a lifetime.

Disney Fantasy cruise ship has clubs and activities for all ages, from the It’s A Small World nursery to the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, designed for kids 3-10, to the Edge, a hangout for tweens aged 11-14 and Vibe, especially for those aged 14-17. Adults have their own private deck with Satellite Falls, the spa and various lounges like The Tube, fashioned after England’s underground, or Ooh La La, a French boudoir themed club featuring Victorian furnishings and ornate décor. For a Disney cruise to the Caribbean in style, the Fantasy certainly fits the bill.

The Disney Fantasy cruise ship has staterooms with verandahs for glorious sea views and ones with what they call Navigator’s verandahs that are smaller and may be partially obstructed. There are also cabins with porthole shaped windows and for those inside, they have virtual portholes so no one misses the views. Once again, Disney has thought of everything. Each stateroom is tastefully decorated with a Disney theme and Mickey’s are scattered around in every corner for you to ‘find’.

From characters to live shows, and from Disney cruise packages to thrilling Caribbean adventures, not to mention the exclusive Castaway Cay with even more Disney magic in store, the Fantasy has it all, and more.
